Introducing the NEW ATJ Bi-weekly eLetter Help for overcoming barriers and accelerating you and your company to your leading edge!
A special welcome to the several hundred new readers of this eLetter! You will be joining folks who first signed on back in the early 1990s – and they are still with us!
We valued our time as ATJ with CME over the last two years. And while those days have now come to an end, we sincerely wish them well going forward. We look forward to continuing a relationship with them to assist and support those of us who will tackle the new opportunities coming under the new CETA trade agreement in the years ahead.
You are now on a mailing list that will never be sold. You may of course opt out at any time. And if you find value in the issues to come, like readers over the last 20 years have done, you are welcome to add the names and addresses of trusted customers, suppliers, and colleagues who are working toward sustainable continuous improvement as they travel with us on the journey to world-class.
ATJ’s Vision To make a difference that matters. ATJ is committed to the first principle of Lean and believes Value is determined from the standpoint of the customer (our readers).
Mission ATJ is a voluntary operation that respects, supports, and seeks input from all sources including our readers through an open trust-and-integrity based process that acknowledges all contributions, while always seeking to provide increasing value.
Principles ATJ will follow the5-step thinking process from LEI (The 5 principles of Lean Thinking) and will: 1. Interpret Value as always determined from the standpoint of the customer (the readers) 2. Identify all steps in the value streams we provide, and work to eliminate those that provide no value for readers 3. Integrate or value-creating steps to provide a flow of value to the readers 4. Establish processes that enable readers to pull more value from ATJ (Past issues) 5. Look to self, and to readers for opportunities to improve
Culture ATJ’s ethics include total respect, integrity, and honesty every day in every way
Supporters & Sponsors ATJ is volunteer driven. Financial sponsors will be considered by the ATJ board to provide increased services to readers. There will be recognition, but no advertising
Mailing List This list will never be sold – it just won’t! It is narrowed to Lean practitioners and all members of the manufacturing infrastructure – which includes just about everyone passionate about manufacturing from a systems thinking viewpoint. Hence, this includes suppliers, customers and employees of existing members.
ATJ’s Editorial Policy As before, ATJ will share practical processes of value & interest such as: • Unique practices from the world but primarily NA and EU • Trends of interest and how to better understand them and tackle them • Improvements in People, Process and Technology practices • Practical feature articles by leaders sharing their findings and achievements • Keeping readers posted on emerging items of interest such as new processes & technology • ATJ will be a Bi-Weekly Publication dated on a Monday with mailing occurring over the prior weekend to ensure early arrival and protection from technology missteps What is Happening Now? How are we going to do it? The ATJ website is under construction by M&O Lean Communications—Rod and his daughter Rebecca Overall. You may not have met Rod yet, but if you have ever been to an International AME Conference in the last decade in North America, or one such as the outstanding AME/CME 2016 Lean Regional Conference in Manitoba last year, you will have seen the amazing graphics Rod provides.
The first issue of the NEW ATJ eLetter will arrive on or before March 28 and Bi-Weekly thereafter. While this is under construction, make a point to go to http://lean.cme-mec.ca and download the last 12 ATJ eLetters while they are still there. This should be done immediately. These past issues are as well located in our archive. To get to the archive, simply go to the top of this page and click on Archive. Our thanks go to CME for their support in leaving the site up for a short time after our relationship concluded January 18, 2016.
